◆ Too long; didn't read
We store your drafts to give them back to you. We never sell them, never train AI on them, and never send them anywhere without your consent. You can delete everything in one click, no delay.
01What we collect
When you use the service, we hold three types of data:
- Your CV content. Everything you type — names, bullets, skills. Encrypted at rest.
- Your account. An email address to log you back in. No phone number, no postal address, no date of birth.
- Light usage data. Which sections you use most, how often you export. No click tracking, no heatmaps, no third-party analytics.
02How we use it
We use your data to show you your own CV, let you log back in, and improve the service. That's it. We don't sell it, don't share it for “marketing partnerships”, and we don't run ads.
03AI and your text
When you press Rewrite, we send the selected text (and nothing else) to our AI provider. The provider processes it, returns three variants, and is contractually prohibited from storing it or using it to train a model. We don't store the rewrites either — they live in your tab and vanish when you close it.
We never use your CV drafts to train any model whatsoever. If that were ever to change (it won't), you would need to explicitly agree.
04Who sees your data
Internally: two engineers who maintain the database, and only to debug. Externally: nobody, except our AI provider (above) and our hosting provider (Frankfurt, EU). Never advertisers, never data brokers, never “analytics partners”.
05Where it lives
On encrypted servers in Frankfurt, Germany, operated by Hetzner. Backups run daily to a second Frankfurt region. Nothing leaves the EU.
06Deleting your data
Open Settings → Account → Delete my data. Everything — drafts, versions, account — is erased within 60 seconds. No “we'll keep it 30 days just in case”. When we say delete, we mean it.
07Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, export it (as JSON), and delete it. Since we're EU-based, GDPR covers you whether you live in Europe or not. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected] — we respond within 72 hours.
